Wearable Computing- Finally The World right before your eyes !

The Evolution of Computers, from the room sized  to big-boxes,then  to a less weight  transportable-one,then to hand-held , and now has reached its new step ! Soon , we'll have computer that is attached to our eyes ! The term "Computer brings world before our eyes" have indeed proved true literally ! yeah , a computer attached in-front of your eyes! Magic of molding Computer and Virtual world with Physical World :)
Though this concept was proposed in early 1980s it has come true only in early 2010s because desktop was believed to be most worthy due to its firm properties in electrical grid for power and Ethernet cables . But today's advancement in Battery Technology overcomes Desktop's electrical grid and other Wireless technologies  overcomes Desktop's Ethernet cables .This leads to the way for next generation - Wearable computers !

This has come true because of the two main concept - Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality , the computer may take either of these two type of views. Finally its time to combine computer technology with human anatomy !  And the First step was took by Google and came out with Project Glass.
Imagine our glasses takes us to other world , filters our mail and everything just before our eyes, like we are in it! That will be really a greater wow experience !!!
Every new invention comes with miracles and also with some drawbacks. It is said that Battery life of these devices is not a good one.Charging these devices is tedious ..may be soon solution for wearable batteries will arrive ! :)

So , Hoping that this technology will rule future for years !!

Mozilla FireFox Mobile OS - A new competitor in the Mobile OS race !!

Mozilla's project over HTML5 have paved way for the introduction of Firefox Mobile OS which is yet to be released in early 2013, will promote openness, innovation and opportunity for mobile users and developers, says experts. This project was first launched on 2011 as Boot to Gecko (B2G).

It aims to be totally open source that runs HTML5 apps.

 System Architecture :

It has a Linux kernel running a thin layer of service and a web browser running top of it.Applications uses web technologies and then a browser to display . The design is made in such a way that applications be platform-independent so that developers can build apps using new standards like HTML5 etc.
i.e the app developer of  Firefox mobile OS devices can be able to use their app in any other mobile platform using HTML5-complient browser.
And about its cost - It is expected that the first device that is likely to be released in Brazil will be around
$500.
They also worked for adding awesome looks to the device and UI!!

And an other impressive thing is Google map app, this new platform provides a full blown version of mapping software like we get in our computer.
Mozilla is trying to give a good-simple to use, speed and a effective experience to users at very low cost. Some experts hopes that forthcoming years of mobile world will not fall in either the hands of Android or iOS but with Mozilla !!!
So , The Most Excepted Tech Release of 2013- Mozilla Firefox Mobile OS !!

Amazing to look a chart-holder shaped Laptop - ROLL LAPTOP

D-ROLL (Digital-Roll), a long tube shaped laptop! can you ever imagine ???!!!!! Happy that we can carry it easily like a chart holder :)

Innovation not only in its shape but also in its function!

When rolled up Roll laptop will be 11 inches (28 cm) long and have 3.3 inches(8.3 cm) diameter (approximately) .
It works on two modes :
  1. Full function mode
  2. E-mail mode

As name implies in full-function mode all hardware devices are attached to it i.e feels like working in a normal computer and in E-mail mode actually the main monitor screen is switched off and a small screen attached to the main body is switched on, in which user is enabled with mail option i.e to check inbox and to send mails !

Additional features that can be appreciated are :
  •  Slide-out keyboard and mouse
  • Locking Features (Security - Fingerprint lock)
  • OLED screen
  • Detachable webcam ( Captures photographs and videos)
  •  And most notable is its cooling system !
The unique cooling system allows system to cool both in and out thereby solving the problem of traditional laptop.
D-Roll will be greatly useful for those travel. This user-friendly laptop will surely inspire other designers to try the same , added with new features:)

Soon , Good Bye to old traditional book-looking laptops!!!

Galaxy MACS0647-JD - Thanks to Hubble Telescope!!

MACS0647-JD , a newly discovered distant galaxy, was observed 420 million years after the Big Bang. It took almost 13.3 billion years for its light to reach our earth!!!

This has been possible because of the power of NASA's Hubble , Spitzer space telescope and natural "zoom lenses" in space .

Astronomers says that MACS0647-JD is only a tiny fraction of the size of our Milky-way galaxy!
The Light from MACS0647-JD  came around multiple path of large galaxy cluster MACS J0647+7015. Using a phenomenon called "gravitational lensing" and also with the help of Hubble telescope ,the CLASH research team (An international group led by Marc Postman of the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, Md., ) observed three images of  MACS0647-JD. This cluster  MACS J0647+7015's gravity helped a lot by boosting up(magnified) the light from the galaxy ,which resulted the image to appear approximately eight, seven and two times brighter .

It has been observed that the galaxy is almost 600 light years wide, which is so small(when compared to other galaxy)  so,the object is assumed to be in its 1st step of forming an entire galaxy.
The total mass of stars in this galaxy is approximately calculated to be equal to 100 million suns i.e about
0.1 %  to 1% the mass of our milky way galaxy.

Some images of MACS0647-JD

The close-up view of the farthest galaxy, 13.3 billion light-years from Earth!

This is another remarkable day for Astronomers :)
The team hope to use Hubble to search many other dwarf galaxies which is in their early stage of development so that they could have provided energy to burn the fog of hydrogen that spread over the universe. And this process is called "Re-ionization",which will ultimately make the universe transparent to light!!!!

Invasion continues!!! :)

LightRadio

Finally solution for - increasing demand for bandwidth has arrived !!! :)

LightRadio ... Yet another wireless technology with improved capacity ,coverage and performance !!!!!

Emerged with additional features like
  • Easy compatibility
  • Innovations in Networking devices
  • Reconfigurable
  • Flexible
  • Support for cloud
And the most  importantly..with increased BANDWIDTH at much LESS COST!!!!!!

A SMALL CUBE THAT SOLVES BIG PROBLEMS

Designed by Alcatel-Lucent that combines all the components of a cell phone tower and compressed to a tiny box ! Unlike today's towers that consumes huge amount for construction as well as for maintenance, light radio is designed to meet requirement of network world with much less cost ,that would surely cut your cell phone bill !

Miniaturization + Cloud Technology => LightRadio

Antennae in Lightradio is capable of relaying 2G,3G and 4G from the same cube, which is not supported by ordinary towers. Because , half of the power from the base station is lost before it reaches top of the tower and so they have separate antennae for 2G,3G and 4G ,which will lead to interference problem.

Other added features are :
  • Energy efficient :    Reduces energy consumption of mobile networks by up to 50%.
  • Addresses digital divide :   By reducing the size of device, this technology will enable the easy access broadband coverage virtually anywhere provided there exist power.
  • Offers major savings for operators : LightRadio’s impact on site, energy, operations and maintenance costs greatly reduces operator cost also .
Therefore, Lightradio overcomes the problems of ordinary cell phone towers. And hoping that those huge ugly towers will disappear soon !!! :)
